Dr. Vandana Bhardwaj is a highly trained cardiac anesthesia and critical care specialist with advanced qualifications from premier medical institutions including PGIMS, Rohtak and AIIMS, New Delhi. She completed her MBBS in 2009 and MD in Anesthesiology in 2014 from PGIMS, Rohtak, followed by DM in Cardiac Anesthesia from AIIMS, New Delhi, in 2018. She has also completed a Fellowship in Cardiac Critical Care (FICCC) from Delhi Heart and Lung Institute.
She has extensive professional experience across leading tertiary-care institutions, including GB Pant Hospital and AIIMS, New Delhi, where she served as Senior Resident and DM Academic Senior Resident. She subsequently worked as a Junior Consultant at Delhi Heart and Lung Institute, gaining focused experience in cardiac anesthesia and critical care. Her clinical expertise includes perioperative management of complex cardiac surgical patients, adult and pediatric airway management, mechanical ventilation, invasive vascular access, difficult airway management, transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, and critical care of critically ill patients.
Dr. Bhardwaj has a strong academic and research background, with multiple original research articles, review articles, case reports and brief communications published in peer-reviewed journals, particularly in the areas of cardiac anesthesia, congenital cyanotic heart disease, coagulation and point-of-care testing. She is a member of the Indian Society of Anesthesiologists (ISA), Indian Association of Cardiothoracic Anesthesia (IACTA) and the Research Society of Anesthesiology Clinical Pharmacology.
